Winter Wedding

Shot a beautiful winter wedding - Gina & Dan actually got snow at their reception at the Boathouse in Prospect Park - it was pretty magical!

I wanted to share a couple of my favorite images from the day - a romantic shot from their first dance and then a candid of Gina that I think really captures her - she has such a great personality and sense of fun (the favors were clown noses!)that was really evident throughout the day.  

The Hunt - New York Times

Just wanted to invite you to check out this week's "The Hunt," which is a weekly column in the real estate section of The New York Times. My family and I are featured this week and thought you might like to read a little non-studio related stuff . . . although the article explains part of the reason we purchased this particular condo was to have a space large enough for our office and studio.  We've been putting the studio to good use and have been booking headshot sessions back to back - all the clients seem to love to new space too!  We had a great time with both the reporter and the Times photographer - it's quite a change being on the other side of the lens, but fun to watch another photographer work (especially with my not quite two year old daughter!)  Hope you enjoy the article and the photo . . . the link is:  http://www.nytimes.com/2008/11/23/realestate/23hunt.html?ref=realestate

Gabrielle & David - St. Regis Hotel, NYC

Gabrielle & David had a beautiful wedding at the St. Regis Hotel on 5th Ave in New York City.  It was a classy, Grace Kelly inspired affair - as you can see from the amazing dress!  They were another couple who were a bit camera shy, 

so I grabbed some informal portraits immediately following the ceremony and tried to give them a vintage feel to compliment this couple's great sense of style.

Just wanted to share this shot with you all from Jennifer and Joseph's wedding.  We had great time doing some non-traditional portraits - I don't think they stood still and posed for me once - we just went to some cool NYC locations where I shot some informal portaits like this one at Grand Central Terminal.

Hi there and welcome to J & J Photography's blog!  For those of you who know me, the existence of this blog may come as a shock since you know the only technology I usually embrace are my cameras!  So many of my clients have been telling me the regularly check the website (www.JandJPhotography.net) for updates - if you're one of those people, you know they don't happen that often (I'm actually in the middle of a big round of updates now)!  I thought this might be a great way to do some more frequent, mini updates letting you all know what's going on and sharing some images from recent shoots.
